Bring Me Their Head

The last time I lost a few hours I had to tell them I was on a new type of sleep medication. They finally let me go after a few unsuccessful attempts at getting me to seek medical help. I learned a long time ago not to say other people's motives out loud because it'll make you look crazy. When I got home the missing select woman was waiting for me. She was not happy.
Are you one of them or one of us?
Stop the presses stop the presses stop the presses
Stop the art stop the art stop the art
Stop the condescension of my comprehension
Stop the lies stop the lies stop the lies
So bring me the head
Of all sinners and saints of state
Serve them up burning on an iron plate
Save a stitch in time for a series of cakewalks
Serve them up burning why you gotta debate
Bring me their head
My TV has the smug glow of pregnancy despite all the still-births and it teaches dysfunction as fashion and equates belonging with fighting. Don't let their ability to talk fool you because parrots can be profound like junkies rattling slogans or some figureheads reading other people's words. And there's that fucking door again. It's probably the goddamn neighbor wanting his hammer back. If he knew where to find it he'd vomit.
A bunch of match-heads
A quarter inch pipe
A roll of fuse
A pack of Marlboros
There's no time to wash to the ashes
Time to rake the leaves
No time to take the temperature
Of the toxins we release
There's no time
No time
Bring out your dead

I am so bored
Nothing to do
I've got some twenties balled up in the shoes I don't use
Get on the horn
Call up my man
Scream at him "Hey-o bring Yeyo as fast as you can!"
*scatting nonsense*
All my friends are here
Hope my guy comes through
There's a knock at the door
Now what are we gonna do?
Let's go snort some motherfucking cocaine
Let's go snort some coke
Cocaine!
Redbull gives you wings
Cocaine bestows you rockets
Holes in our nose
And in our pockets (oh yes sir indeed)
*La la la la la la la*
Well I'm jonesing
(jonesing away)
My thoughts are frozen
(Frozen all day)
On the snow that never seems to melt
My eyes are red
(so red, so red, so red)
I call my friend
Says, "Give me the money!
And I hung up the wire-less phone.

You look like one of those morons
A bit lost and babbling
Trust me, I'm somewhat of an expert
Paint me the loudest color
Then mistake me for dead
Join me in uproarious laughter
Then wish me all the best
We've come too far to succeed now
Does this dress make me look fat?
Are you still kicking around?
Have I taught you anything?
Seems like I'm still the foremost expert by default
I know now's not the time
Nor is it the place
The lighting sucks and let's face it: The mood is all wrong
But it has to be said
Or at least drawn crudely
Which is hard for me having six years of art school

Painted a picture today
Too violent to hang up
"Lift up your tongue..." she said
"...and when you're done return the cup."
Well I'll have you know
You're messing with a dangerous man
With powerful friends
And a single call to any of them
There's not a claim I have made that your Haldol can vet
And you'll gain no compliance from idling threats
So drop the charades and drop the syringe
Cause you've no idea you you're messing with
Decompensate? No
Can't come to play? No
Think we're the same? No
Think I'm insane? No
Chattering thumbtacks
The doctor resembles a child
Well I must be getting old now
Cause I'm rusty as hell
I'll have you know
I'm still calling the shots
From behind the scenes in case you forgot
I'm 10 stories tall and 10,000 watts
Raining down sweat and screaming my thoughts
Pressed against the vinyl padding
Have I calmed down or have I had it?
You may think that you've won
When the numbers come in
But you counted so wrong
Better count count count count them again
Your argument's invalid insolent shit

No, You Didn't Think

Stand up for yourself
Don't make me make you
Want something to cry about
No, you didn't think did you?
There's no need to ever fear
Though I guess it couldn't hurt
More than I'm about to do
Cause there are things much worse than
Death. Worse than death. Worse than death death death
My thoughts devalue
And I'm left broke
More than I care to think
Which isn't hard because I don't
That's enough about me
How the hell are you?
Heard some things I can't repeat
Often enough or as loud as
Hell. Loud as hell. Loud as hell hell hell
A little goes a long way
Too much is never enough
Well you know what they say
I don't that's why I ask
